Social Network Applications are a Political Distraction!!! No more Farmville People!!! Cristina Arra Simmons

Hey people while you are sitting around baking cakes in your facebook Cafe applications and farming on the virtual farm in Farmville you are missing out on real conversations such as this. The types of things they really don’t want you to know!!! I reposted this on my facebook fan page.

Cristina Arra HamiltonArra Da Flygurl Considering that there are facebook applications for nearly everything under the sun, it is remarkable to find none of them keep track of the National debt. Even more baffling is the fact the every American does not know the National debt. In short, please stop playing farmville and find articles, books, or documentaries online. Black Male Teachers

LOL…now that’s for real.

If people actually new the debt, then they wouldn’t be praising Obama. $1.4T when it was $400B when Bush left office. Yeah, them banks got paid…took money right out of the national treasury and no one is talking about it.

Arra Da Flygurl

Arra Da Flygurl

Do they ever talk about what they do wrong? No they just find a way to distract America. Maybe that’s why they trying say there’s a pot of gold in Haiti. Is America gonna steal from Haiti to cover the National Debt? I wouldn’t it pass them. However it’s not all President Obama’s fault. He was trying to clean up Bush’s mess who might I add was asked to team up with Bill Clinton for the Haiti relief, where is Busheee? He looking like Waldo, can’t nobody find him.

Alex James Bevly III

Alex James Bevly III

Bush didn’t do anything that would incline Obama to shell out 1.2T in low-interest loans to the banks, as well as almost $500B in free bailout money. Bush didn’t incline Obama to embark in fruitless “stimulus” projects around the country with 100’s of Billions of tax dollars where he promised if it passed the unemployment wouldn’t even right 9%… well, its double-digits now. Bush didn’t incline him to waste a year of Washington’s time (and untold tax dollars) embarking on a fallacious “universal health care” bill that is only universal health *insurance*.

I can see an argument that he had to clean up the messy wars in Iraq and Afghanistan…which he hasn’t done either, but ok, I get that. All this other blame-shifting just shows how spineless and irresponsible Democrats, including Obama, are.

Arra Da Flygurl

Arra Da Flygurl

Did you watch the State of the Union address last night? No Bush might have not did anything to incline him but what other option did he have? As far as the Bail out… Obama says he had to do what was necessary. If he had of not done anything he’d be just as worst as Bush? Obama says ” I supported the LAST administrations efforts (Bush) to create… the Financial Rescues program”. He supported them; then he had to revamp the program so that it will do exactly what it says. “Financially Rescue” Not “Financially In debt you” I included this for your viewing pleasure.

Did you hear when he said he was going to Charge the Large Banks while smaller banks were going to have to invest in small businesses, his plan is going to help this country move in the right direction. It’s them damn Republicans that were just sitting around like. I’m sorry but President Obama lost me after he said “health care reform, Job Bill, and gays in the Military”. It’s not Obama it’s them lazy ass Republicans that are wasting time playing their “wait it out” games! Let’s not forget he did say he is going to make education more affordable please pass that part along….

Alex James Bevly III

Alex James Bevly III

I didn’t watch it, but saw Obama’s main points on CNN and YouTube. I know it is easy to play the party line, but Democrats are just as much at fault as the Republicans. All presidents make extraordinary claims and promises during the SOTU address. Bush talked about hydrogen-powered cars and all kinds of fantasy during his.

Oh yeah, and no one … buys that Obama had to bail out the banks because he did that and it saved absolutely nothing. They still aren’t lending and companies continue to have the same problems trying to keep their doors open. It seems like Democrats are completely clueless to how business and economics work. Republicans seem to have a better clue, but don’t really care about the people for a host of corrupt reasons.

When people take their heads out of their respective parties’ asses then there will be real progress in this country.

” It seems like Democrats are completely clueless to how business and economics work. Republicans seem to have a better clue, but don’t really care about the people for a host of corrupt reasons. When people take their heads out of their respective parties’ asses then there will be real progress in this country”.
If we were in the same room I’d thump you across the forehead for this.
This is exactly how they want the Nation to think! Don’t you realize Bush and his damn Daddy messed up the economy because he knew who was next in line. They wanted and are trying their best to make the “Democratic” party look like the guilty ones. Please tell me I am not the only one who noticed that just before President Obama was elected lots of people were being laid off. They were hiring but only those who think and feel like you and they were firing oops my bad “laying off with no intent to rehire” people like me. …
Also I want to say this if you get a chance please watch the President’s State of Union address I love the part when President Obama says um hey let’s not forget that this was a problem I created this is something I am trying to change (the National debt). Then look at how John McCain especially turns and whispers to his homeboys like “why he got to be bringing that up!” Puh leez don’t come at me talking about what republicans seem to know. It’s an illusion that’s all they know. How to act like they know something when there are learning based on what somebody higher than them said.

The Plot to Kill My Mother By Cristina Arra Simmons

This plot came about after I told a person in my Nutrition class that I am very skeptical about taking medication, I even research side effects of prescribe meds, out of fear of addiction. I got to school online and the Powers that Be at the IT company I worked for with their (everything is hackable mentality). Used that as their chance to test my comment for truth. They used my mother.

My mother was hospitalized she has had fibroid tumors removed. Well if have been following you should know that I’d worked for a company who threaten me with you’re gonna have problems if you leave. Another company who watched my every move via computer and even paid people to tell them information about me and to watch me. Well because of their games I have been unable to work and my mom due to the stress these people are causing us had been ill. Well she went for surgery on Tuesday she was cut on her abdomen she couldn’t walk let alone speak and she was in a lot of pain. I was there with her the first two nights. Yes they had her in a nice room adjacent to the helicopter’s landing pad for people being airlifted to the hospital. So prior to her being hospitalized she went in for a pre-surgical visit where they took care of all the paperwork so they said.

Well when she got to her room she started getting calls like how are you gonna pay, you’re not covered by this and not covered by that. This was to cause her to worry and stress while trying to recover. I was there with here and to distract me I got a call at the exact time the people were calling harassing my mom, this was too distract me from what they were doing. My call came from a “family member” who stated they couldn’t come to check on my mom because they were busy taking care of an elderly neighbor, an elderly black man who probably was a Xerox of the old man I worked for. That was their distraction. Now as I stated my mom was very confused, incoherent and in lots of pain she was on a all liquid diet until she walked and her organs began to function normally. Well I’d leave to come home and check on my son, my grandmother and grandfather stayed with my mom we wanted to make sure some one was there at all times because due to the fact she is unemployed, she doesn’t have insurance and experience shows us that America would rather you die than insure you. I need to mention this, my mom says to me just out of surgery  “I was so scared I hope they didn’t hear me calling your name”. She says I was screaming your name “Cristina!” She says all she could hear was a bunch of noise sort of like a party going on. I also need to tell you this my mother was in the operating room the longest of all those waiting in the waiting area this was so my grandmother and I would worry.

As I told you she was on an all liquid diet she has a cut on her abdomen and she was in lots of pain. Well they took her off the IV, and started giving her vicodin pain killers on an empty stomach which caused her to vomit. We all know vomiting hurts the stomach. By her doing so it caused her then stapled wound to open (more pain) .  And the dumb ass interns were running around like they couldn’t figure shit out. So in order to distract me the powers that be used a friend of mine (well a person) I thought was a friend to try to get me to stay home one night my mom was vomiting and sick.  So the nurses (who are very nice, their niceness was a distraction as well  from what the interns and white nurses were really doing) would not pay as much as attention to her and she’s possibly take a turn for the worst and I’d feel guilty because I wasn’t there to witness the hospitals’ neglect. Instead I was home while they were killing my mom. The friend would tell me how his daughters’ grandma broke her foot and how the hospital played games with her it was suppose to be “funny, a joke”. The same thing the IT company said they were going to play on me “a practical joke” and hope I didn’t kill myself when I found out.  Wrong! I stayed right there so did my grand mother. I mean how could a person who can barely speak, and in that much pain even try to find the damn call button when the hospital knows that pain killers on an empty stomach isn’t a good combination. Isn’t this why labels say “Take with FOOD” or don’t take on an empty stomach! This is just day one of a fifteen day stay that was only suppose to be no more than 4 days.

Now my mom was throwing up for days and it seemed as if the hospital staff had it timed. Every single time she’d throw up and I’d walk out of the room to find a nurse the hallways would be filled with men who resembled the man I worked for @ the real estate company.  Now when the nurses would come to my mom’s room to calm her down they would always have a story about something that happened to her when she was hospitalized in the past. Now where all of this was coming from, go figure.

Mom is home now after fifteen days of being hospitalized for a procedure that was suppose to take 3-4 days.  She, because the wound opened up in the hospital, is now wearing a wound vac that’s sucks all of the excess fluid from the wound and sends it through a tube into this funky lil machine. Now my mom is still in pain with like a million prescriptions, embarrassed to go out in public and not to mention has to have a home health care nurse visit her twice weekly. Now when they come their entire discussion surrounds blogs I have written on the computer and things that scare my mom. Saying I am not certain you’re diabetic, we treat all of patients as if they are diabetic when they undergo this procedure. Not to mention she is going on doctor’s appointments and her “primary care” Doctor, Dr. Quarashi is making fun of what my mom tells her about her horrific experience in the hospital! All she could say was I’m sorry to hear that but wanted to know more and you can tell there were discussions about it. Because when her nurse would come in she’d say things like “you need a break you have gone through so much etc”. I use to be sitting in the damn chair boiling trying not to go off. How can these people play games with other people and think that it’s funny? Wasn’t shit funny about what my mother went through.

To whomever reading this you can pretend as if you don’t know what I am talking about as if this behavior doesn’t exist. As if the government and the majority aren’t playing games with people’s lives especially those who they believe won’t fight back.  As I stated the games they play with women who don’t have insurance is this. They tell you 3-4 days they rushed the processed and for those whose bodies can’t handle it, they experience what my Mother’s doctor referred to as a minor set back. During the minor set beck the goal of the Resident interns was to hopefully get my mother chemically dependent on some sort of narcotic. Morphine, Ambien, or Vicodin during euphoric process, meaning while the patient is unsure and delusional, the staff plays mind games just to see how much the patient will remember of what the staff is doing. The nurses (those who were forced indirectly told on those who were enforcers) were saying things about my mother’s past experiences as well as making remarks about my grandmother’s education. Because in most cases they believe we (black people) aren’t intelligent enough to pick up on the game. They all play the same game. Doctor’s, Lawyers, Real Estate Agents, Computer Programmers and Politicians of the majority, they stick together to keep us bound. Can you see cha-ching $$$!!! Check it their goal is to find away to keep us indebted,  on drugs, and unemployed, because they think our lives are cheap and easy to be wasted. Dr. Harrison was the head surgeon who never came to check on my after the surgery until like 14 days later, Dr. Blaha, Dr. Gegick, and a host of interns and white nurses were left to play games and pretend as if they were concerned. I am just thankful that God took care of my Mom. Now I need to know what are you going to do about it.

Race and My Community By Cristina Arra Hamilton

I am excited to write this blog, the timing for the topic, Race and My Community, couldn’t be more appropriate for this is an exciting time in my community; it’s election time. I live in Charlotte, NC and during this course of this Mayoral election, I have been following, volunteering and promoting the new Mayor -Elect for Charlotte Mecklenburg, Mr. Anthony Foxx. This was a very exciting campaign because Charlotte has had the same Mayor for the past 14 years and it’s definitely time for change. I moved to Charlotte, NC January 2000 and at that time I lived in a sort of diverse neighborhood there are Mexican Americans, African Americans and some immigrants from Africa, Mexico and several other Latin countries. At that time I wasn’t interested in who was Mayor and who controlled the city. I was rarely here for it to make a difference. I was a flight attendant and on my days off I’d fly home to Miami, Fl to be with my son and Grandmother. It wasn’t until after I moved my son here and started working in the city that I began to notice the people in the communities outside of my neighborhood. The majority of them did not look or think like me. However they seemed to be very interested in me.
The community I live in now is semi-diverse as well. On my block, for example, there are two Asian American families, an Mexican American Family and the rest is half African American and Caucasian.  I don’t see any families speaking to other ethnic groups for instance the white neighbors sit and talk with other white neighbors, the Mexican American neighbors only converse with other Mexican American neighbors.  I only know that there is an Asian Family on my block because I have seen them walking around the yard for a few minutes and taking out their garbage. Other than that, I never see them. As far as the African American families go, I rarely see them speaking to anyone, including other African American families. My family and I made an attempt to make friends with one African American family on my block but they were too interested in competing and trying to get into our personal lives. Being around people like that create lots of drama and it wasn’t worth the energy, so we stick to ourselves. Other than the occasional wave while walking my dog as neighbors pass our house in their cars, or on their daily stroll, there is no communication in the neighborhood.Foxx Charlotte
Leadership in My Community
As I stated earlier I wasn’t really concerned about the leadership in the community when first moving to Charlotte because of my schedule and my job I felt things that went on in my community and in the city had no direct affect on my life. I lived in an apartment complex so things like garbage services and water wasn’t a major concern.

Now that I think about it while living in that apartment complex, after sometime and more minorities moved in and we were subject to random tow trucks riding through the neighborhood and towing cars that had outdated inspection stickers and past due tags. This was not included in the lease and did not take place in the subdivisions nearby which were occupied by majority White Americans. In the community I live in now it’s a subdivision so each house is responsible for having their garbage on the curb to be picked up once a week, along with recycled goods and any leaves and branches left over from lawn care. However, I hadn’t heard much about many leaders in the community didn’t know who they mayor was until April 2009 and he has been the mayor for over 14 years until November 2009. As far as city council and other members of the community goes I really had no interests in those people either until I realized that they control everything from education, funding for after school programs and others activities activities for youth. Which there was an abundance of during my son’s elementary school education. Once he reached middle school things changed and I became aware of how things are run in cities where leaders don’t look like, have not had similar life experiences as and care not to understand those who don’t look like, walk like or speak like them.
I need to mention that I did move away to another city in Florida for three years prior to moving back to Charlotte and April 2009. I was living in Tallahassee, Fl where the majority of the leadership is Republican.  Most of the city is controlled by them, and because of their fear of losing power Republicans in Tallahassee use manipulation and lies to keep their control. While using manipulation and mind games to instill fear in those they can’t seem to figure out. These are the people who own businesses, teach in the schools and make decisions for the citizens there. Those in control, move about and make decisions for others without considering their opinions. In most cases, the opinions of the citizens have been manipulated by the schemes and games from the RepubliKans. Resulting in mass confusion people are walking around like robots waiting for someone to instruct them on their next move. In Tallahassee minorities are not seen as equal unless they have some one from the majority on their side, meaning in control and knowing their every move. So their children will have problems in school, they will have problems at works and at home unless they have someone from the majority as a “friend” and in many cases that “friend” is a sheep in wolves clothing. They make sure minorities have those problem to keep them bound.

After being driven out of Tallahassee because I chose not to submit and subject myself of my son to the indirect ridicule bought on by those in charge, those RepubliKans (men) made it their business to let me know that this is how they run things no matter where I am. If they are in control they are determined to keep those who they believe to be subordinate, oppressed. They will take advantage of and abuse a individual, group, or organization’s strengths and play on and use their weaknesses as tool to control.

I know their game. I was in the Senate the last time health reform came around, and I saw the special interests savage our efforts. Frankly, under the old rules of Washington they were nearly impossible to beat. But now, thanks to you, the rules are changing. All the lies, scare tactics and lobbyist shake-downs in the world are no match for the incredible work of Organizing for America supporters like you. That’s exactly what frightens them so much — and it’s what Barack and I are counting on.”

This statement is from a letter I received from Vice President Joe Biden in regards to the Health care Reform. He is speaking about the Insurance companies who fear they will have financial problems if the Health care Reform is passed, the companies that are run by the Republicans who play the same games on all levels.

Since moving back to Charlotte this has been my experience in my community, my son started, public school, middle school, at a school so far from our home. The kids in the neighborhood are bussed there, the school is considered a Title I school, school for improvement. Now my neighborhood is a fairly nice neighborhood and many of the families here have been here for a long time and most of their children have graduated.  I am certain they went to school during a time where they weren’t bussed to a school where mostly minority children from low income homes attend. In other words this is not a low income neighborhood, however many of the people moving into the community are from various minority groups mainly African American. I am certain the leaders in the school makes those decision. After having several negative experiences at that school I chose to home school my son. It seems as if the school of improvement’s main goal was to put some sort of crutch on their students especially the black male students. If they made good grades there was going to be a behavior issue or vice verse. Children of single parent homes  seemed to be easy targets to be used against one another and to keep their children oppressed. When these things started happening to my son and I expressed my concerns to the administration and the school board. Two things happened, first thing, there was no investigation and the second thing my son treatment worsened. So basically nothing happened.
I took my son out of the public school system and home schooled him for the duration of the school year and the summer. This is what he experienced the following year after begging to return to public school. I took him to Northeast Middle School a, what I considered to be, diverse school. However according to the data reported on the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools profiles website the majority students affected by their end of grade testing are African American (CMS, 2008). When I enrolled my son at Northeast, which is about a five minute drive from my house, the registrar, who is African American proceeded to tell me how she was married to a white man and had an eighteen year old son who was in the military and how he was such a good boy. Her story was well rehearsed she shared it with me in hopes I would fill her in on future plans for my son. Judging by her actions and the various white women that came in and out of her office as we spoke she was to then fill the principal, a white male, in on whatever information I gave her.  He would then decide on whether to sabotage my son’s future or to let him be. Well she, the registrar, is not married and as far as that son goes, well you can figure that out. My point is this these are the games they play to keep our children LEFT BEHIND. So as parents we need to stay current and keep our minds open (“Rock the Vote”, 2009). This is an example of the treatment people like myself receive in communities where the majority feels minorities shouldn’t be heard or treated fairly. But because so many are used to it, The unfair treatment,  they think it’s the norm and the persons who suffer are the innocent children.

My Solutions
Once again I removed my son from the public school setting and home schooled him, the same patterned was developing and I’d emailed administration and also the superintendent, who did nothing. As I stated these events could not have taken place at a more appropriate time. Once I learned about the election and saw that one of the candidates looked like me, is a Charlotte native, and from a single parent home. I researched his political career, went to a live debate and watched a couple on TV. I was very impressed and I believe he can relate to the struggles of minorities especially male minorities. I wanted to do my part and helping him get elected and I decided to volunteer to help out his campaign. Once involved with the campaign I wanted to do more so I started sending emails and text messages promoting the democrat mayor candidate, to businesses, my friends and approaching people on the street asking them to pass it on to others with the community. I also started volunteering with organizations whose main goal was to inform the communities that are usually misinformed.

The Media
Though there are people in the local media in my community that look like me, many of the stories reported usually portray people that look like me in a negative manner. However, with the economy in the state its in and the shift of political control I am starting to notice other groups of people’s negative side in the media as well. When those stories are reported the excuse is usually “this behavior is a result of our current economy or unemployment rate”. There are no excuses for those groups of people that are negatively stereotyped. You know the people that look like me!The Foxx's

Time for change; now that we have a new mayor in our community and he is one who seems to understand what is needed to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals whose voices have been ignored for so long, is the first step in resolving some of the inequities that have existed for far too long. Once the leadership in my community make changes this behavior will trickle down the ladder affecting our schools, churches and community organizations positively. Will the games ever stop, just take a look at what’s happening in the white house and how so many organizations as well as members of Congress and the Senate are trying to keep the President distracted all because they don’t want equal opportunity in Healthcare. Is this an equal opportunity country? I would vote yes, now that we have elected a President who is committed to change. So Anthony Foxx let’s work together to change Charlotte into an equal opportunity community by “facing our issues head on” (Hicks III, 2009).

Letter From The Vice President

Cristina —

We’ve got a fight on our hands. Powerful insurance companies are pulling out all the stops to defeat the President’s plan for health reform. They’re spending seven million bucks a week on lobbyists, blanketing the country with deceptive TV ads, and just funded two high-profile “reports” to distort what reform would mean for you.

That’s exactly what frightens them so much — and it’s what Barack and I are counting on.

After decades of false starts, we’re now just a short time from finally passing real reform. Every member of Congress will soon have to cast their vote. As real change draws near, you can bet the insurance companies will hold nothing back. That means OFA will need the extra resources to beat back whatever attack they can dream up next. Here’s the bottom line: it’s not time to let up — it’s time to double down.

Can you donate $25 or more to power OFA’s fight for change as we head into the final round?

When I talk about you changing the rules in Washington, here’s what I mean: This week, crucial negotiations on Capitol Hill are shaping a comprehensive reform proposal. At the same time, the insurance companies’ phony reports are grabbing headlines and their lobbyists are twisting arms. But your work is keeping them from setting us back.

On Tuesday, OFA supporters around the country organized more than 1,000 local outreach events and generated an astounding 330,000 calls to Congress from constituents telling their representatives that “it’s time to deliver.” From my years in Congress and my conversations with Senate colleagues this week, I can tell you with confidence that your message broke through and you helped keep us on track.

If this fight were only about guaranteeing the choice of secure, quality, affordable care for every American, it would be worth everything we could throw at it. But as Barack reminded us this week, this fight for change is now about something even bigger: a test of whether or not “we as a nation are capable of tackling our toughest challenges, if we can serve the national interest despite the unrelenting efforts of the special interests; if we can still do big things in America.”

I believe we can. And Barack believes we can. But what really matters is whether you believe we can. If you do, now is the moment to make it happen. Please contribute today:

Thank you,

Vice President Joe Biden
